Ever increasing in credibility - the Falkirk Stadium (and not just a stand) |
|
Saying that Falkirk was building a brand new stadium brought groans from the faithful and howls of laughter from everyone else in Scottish football. Our former manager left because of the abscence of bricks, but what was a standing joke is now rapidly becoming reality. The Falkirk Community Stadium will be located in the Westfield area of town and is so close to Grangemouth the locals may try and move it closer. As long as it doesn't halt the building process. Hopefully, more pictures of the stadium's construction will appear here. My thanks to Craig Watson, Tom Paterson and Alex Hastings who took the time and effort to drive up to the site and snap at will. |

It's taken a while but it looks good so far. The main stand is complete, the pitch has been laid and work will begin on the North stand shortly, with planning permission for the East Stand a formality. As you can see, one fan is already waiting for the kick-off |
